Popular cab booking service Ola has launched a new class ’Micro’ cabs. It is cheaper with base fare ranging from Rs. 35 to Rs. 45 and rate is Rs. 6 per kilometer. This is launched to take on Uber Go. However, Uber Go still has lower base fare than Ola Micro. So, for the ride of less than 4 Kilometer, Uber Go will be the cheaper option.

In this class, vehicles will be compact cars which include Hyundai Eon, Wagon R, and Datsun Go. Cabs under this class are now available in various cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, Pune and Hyderabad.

Ola has already given us a cheaper option with ride sharing service. If you want cheap option without sharing your ride, you can go with this.

Ola claims to occupy over 70% market share in India with the presence in over 100 cities. On another hand, Uber is only operating in 26 cities. Ola is also larger in the number of cars operation. Both companies are trying to hard to capture the market by pushing huge money, but Ola seems to be winning the market in India.
