Now you can format text on WhatsApp

Add Techlomedia as a preferred source on Google.

Popular messaging app WhatsApp will soon let you format text in chat. You will be able to format text in bold, italic and bold-italic. There can be few other options but we are yet to find.

These formatting options look similar to how we used to format texts on GTalk. Just put the text in *between asterisks* to format it bold. For italic, put text _between underscores_. You can see the snapshot below.

Not just chat, formatting is also visible in the notification center.

I am not sure if there is anything else in formatting. I didn’t find any other formatting option. I hope WhatsApp will confirm more formatting option in coming days.

Not just chat formatting, there are few other features in tests. We are trying to find out more on this.
