Gmailify

With more than 1 billion users, Gmail is the biggest email service. Still, there are many people who still use other email services including Yahoo mail, outlook.com or other. To bring those non-Gmail users on its platform, Google has announced Gmailify’. It will allow non-Gmail users to access their emails accounts including Outlook.com, Hotmail, or Yahoo! email accounts through the Gmail app on Android. The best part is that they will be able to enjoy Gmail’s best features.

Non-Gmail users will also be able to use most of the Gmail features including spam protection, Google Now cards and inbox organization. So, you can now enjoy features of Gmail app without changing your existing email address. Gmailify links your existing email account to Gmail to bring all your emails along with Gmail’s exciting features.

You only need to open Gmail app, signin with your email account and enable Gmailify. You can unlink your account from Gmail any time without any issue.

Gmail app already had the option to access non-Gmail account. If you were doing this, you still need to opt-in ‘Gmailify’ feature.

As of now, it only works with Yahoo, Hotmail or outlook. But more email service providers will be supported in future. This is only available for Gmail app on Android. There is no word whether this feature will come to iOS or the web client.
