BlackBerry has started sending invites for the launch of its first Android phone BlackBerry Priv in India. Launch has been scheduled on January 28th. This phone was originally announced back in October last year.

BlackBerry Priv features a 5.43 inch Quad-HD AMOLED dual curved display with Gorilla Glass 4 protection. It also features a slider QWERTY keyboard. It runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. It is powered by Hexa-core Snapdragon 808 processor with Adreno 418 GPU. It comes with a 18-megapixels rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, object image stabilization, 4K recording and video stabilization. At front, it has a 5-megapixels front camera.

It offers various connectivity features including 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz) MIMO, Bluetooth 4.1 LE, GPS, NFC and USB 2.0 with Slimport. It comes with 32 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 2 TB with microSD card slot.

It is packed with 3,410 mAh battery which claims to offer up to 22.5 hours battery life with mixed use. Fast charging is also supported.
