Swipe has launched Swipe Junior smartphone for kids. This phone is basically for kids of 5 to 15 age group. It is priced at Rs. 5999. This phone aims to increase creativity and make learning fun with various privacy and safety features.
Swipe Junior smartphone features a 4.5 inch IPS display and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. Swipe Junior smartphone offers a customised UI for kids with various interesting features including geo-tracking and geo-fencing to track a child’s movement. Parents can set safe and danger zones for kids and also monitor a child’s app usage pattern. Parents can also allow or block apps on the device. There is also a SOS button on the device that is basically one-step dialling to a pre-defined contact.
It is powered by a 1.3 Ghz dual core processor with 512 MB RAM. It comes with 2 megapixels rear camera and VGA front camera. It comes with 4 GB internal storage. Connectivity features of the phone are Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It is packed with 1900 mAh battery which claims to offer 8 hours of talk time and 120 hours of stand by time. The handset is also protected with shock proof and break protective casing.
