OnePlus has just confirmed the new Oxygen OS update for OnePlus X. This new Oxygen OS 2.1.3 update will be coming to OnePlus X devices later today to bring few improvements and fixing known bugs.

This update has been rolled out incrementally, so you will have to wait until it reaches to your device. It may take up to 48 hours to reach all users after roll out start. First, it will arrive to 10% users to see how it is working in real time conditions. If everything goes right, company will push the update to all OnePlus X users.

This is not a Marshmallow update and phone will still run on Lollipop. This update brings following changes.

  • SD card related improvements including:
    • UX improvements
    • exFAT SD card support
    • Ability to move apps to and from SD card
    • Fixed reboots caused by removing SD card in an active state
  • Security patches
  • General bug fixes and optimizations

Company also promised to bring few more updates in coming weeks to add more features and fix bugs to make it more stable.

OnePlus has already promised MarshMallow update for OnePlus which is scheduled for Q1 2016. Before the Marshmallow update, users will most likely receive multiple Oxygen OS updates. Company is trying to add more features and fix bugs to make OxygenOS stable. Most of the early OxygenOS users reported various crashes issues. So, company is trying hard to keep user experience as better as it can do.
