Google Fit brings real-time data tracking

Google has updated Google Fitness with few new features to let Android devices and wearables track more fitness data. It has now become first fitness tracking software which provides real-time stats on distance, steps, pace and calorie for your different activities.

With your Android wear smartwatch, Google Fit will also track strength training. It will able to detect activities like sit-ups, push-ups, and squats and then automatically add the data obtained from these activities to your daily workout stats. You can check this data from Google Fit app.

App update is now available. You can update it via Google Play.

With these new abilities, Google wants to compete with Apple in making its fitness service better for users. Android wear devices are struggling while Apple could sold enough watches to count. So, Google wants to make its fitness app stronger to convince customers why Android wear devices are better.
