WhatsApp for iOS brings ‘Starred Messages’ Bookmarking Feature

Whatsapp has updated the app for iOS to bring ‘Starred Messages’ bookmarking feature. One can star mark a message and then quickly access the message anytime when in need.

To star mark, just tap and hold on a message and select the star sign. Not just in personal chat, you can also do this in group chats. When you star mark a message, it will also show a star icon just before the time label on the message. See the snapshot below. Users can Starred any message including text, audio, photo or video.

To access these starred messages, open contact or group info page and tap on ‘Starred messages’ option.

Starred messageThis option is useful for keeping important information quickly accessible. You can star mark important messages of any conversation and then quickly access to those messages. So, you do not need to scroll back until you find the desired message.

Update is now available to all iOS users. This feature is expected to hit Android and other platform soon. It is surprising that a new feature came to iOS first. Usually company first test any feature on Android and later bring it to iOS.
