Samsung's new flexible battery will make your smartwatch last longerWearables market is growing very fast but users are taking less interest just because these devices come with small batteries. Most of the wearables need charging once or twice daily. Apple Watch was also criticized for poor battery life. So, most of the companies are now focusing to bring batteries which are small but powerful. It seems Samsung has found some success in this section.

Samsung has found a smarter way to increase the battery backup of smartwatches. It revealed a new range of batteries called Band and Stripe. It can be attached to the strap of wearable to improve the battery life. Samsung claims that these batteries can boost battery life up to 50%.

These batteries are extremely thin with thickness of just 0.3 mm. So, any kind of wearable such as necklaces and headbands can take advantage of these batteries. Samsung also confirmed that Stripe add-on can withstand up to 50,000 “bends.” So, life of the batteries is also good enough.

Stripe and Bend, both are in prototype model and we do not know when Samsung will start mass-production of these batteries. But we know that future of wearable is going to be better than we are expecting.
