While 3GB RAM Phones are now very common and 4GB RAM phones are now coming, LeTV is planning to buzz the world with its new LeTV LeMax 2. This phone is rumoured to have 6 GB RAM. This phone will be the first phone with Snapdragon 820 and 6 GB RAM.
It is unclear when this phone will be announced but we are expecting it to come in first quarter of 2016. If I talk about other specifications, it will comes with 5.7 inch Quad HD display and 23 megapixel with a IMX300 sensor and f/2.0 aperture.
Samsung has already started mass production of 12 Gb LPDDR4 RAM chips using 20nm process technology. These chips allow 6 GB RAM smartphones possible. We are expecting 6 GB RAM in Samsung Galaxy S7. But LeTV seems to steal the show with world’s first 6GB RAM phone. If you think that Samsung will not allow LeTV to steal the show, I want you to remember the case of OnePlus. Samsung supplied the chips to OnePlus for its 4GB Oneplus 2 phone before the launch of its own Note 5 and S6 Edge+.

LeTV is a new brand in smartphone market with only three phones in market. LeTV One, LeTV One Pro and LeTV One Max are the phones which couldn’t do well for company. So, this time company wants to launch a giant phone which can create media buzz with its hardware specifications.
I am not sure why 6GB RAM phone. 2GB RAM smartphones offer good performance and even newly launched iPhone 6S also comes with 2GB RAM. If hardware and software are properly optimized, 3GB RAM is more than enough for good performance. But companies want to attract more customers by showing high specifications on papers.
