Google has recently announced its full metal body Nexus device Google Huawei Nexus 6P. This device is made by Huawei and features high-end specifications with good metal design. After seeing the device, I can say that ‘P’ word is for ‘Premium’. Seriously this device is a premium phone you would like to have.

Google Nexus 6P : First Impressions
Design
If I talk about the design of Nexus 6P, this phone comes with metal-unibody design. Weight of the phone is just 178 grams which is not heavy considering the metal built and big size. Thickness of the phone is just 7.3mm. So, this phone is not too bulky.
On the front side, you will notice the stereo speakers along with the large 5.7 inch display. At the back side, it has big Nexus branding. At the back top, it has camera, and flash. This section has a black strip to make it separate from the rest of the body. Volume keys and power key are at the right side of the device.
It has sim card tray at the left which can hold single nano sim. At the top, it has 3.5 mm audio output jack at the top size and USB-Type C connector is at the bottom edge.
This phone will be available in aluminium and graphite colours.
Display
Nexus 6P comes with 5.7 inch AMOLED display with QHD (1440x2560p) resolution. Display panel has Gorilla Glass 4 protection to prevent scratches. It also has smudge-resistant oleophobic coating. Display offers wide viewing angles. You will enjoy watching videos and playing high-end games. Display is sharp and color reproduction is good.
Processor, RAM and Storage
Phone offers good performance. It is powered by octa-core Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 with Adreno 430 and 3GB RAM. Performance seems to be good in first impression. I couldn’t do benchmarking and gaming test. So, I cannot say how good it is in gaming and high-end work. But still, we can hope for the best with this phone. Multi-tasking seems to be good with lag-free performance.
It will be available in 32 GB and 64 GB storage models but there is no card slot to expand storage. So, you will have to buy the storage model based on your need. In 32 GB model, you will get around 25 GB is user accessible.
Camera
It has 12.3 megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash. Camera has f/2.0 aperture, 1.55um pixels, IR Laser assisted autofocus and smart burst. You can also record 4K and slow-motion videos at 240 fps. Camera app is simple but offers good experience. Shutter speed is good.
It has a 8-megapixels front camera which can also record 3840×2160 videos @ 30 FPS.
Camera looks promising. I tried capturing photos and recording videos and got good results.
Software
It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. You will get stock Android experience with no-additional customization. Google has also reduced the number of pre-loaded apps in this OS.
Connectivity and battery
It offers plenty of connectivity options which are 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac 2×2 MIMO dual-band, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C. It is packed with 3450 mAh.
Our Verdict
This phone comes with attractive build, good performance and good camera. FIngerprint sensor is also there for security. Pricing of the phone is high but that is justified considering the price of the phone.
