Alphabet INCGoogle has created a new company Alphabet Inc in restructuring and confirmed that Google is now a fully owned subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. Larry Page will serve as CEO of Alphabet Inc and Sergey Brin as President. Domain of Alphabet Inc is abc.xyz — not alphabet.com.

New parent company will own Google with all its properties and Sundar Pichai will serve as CEO of Google. Google includes earch business, YouTube and the Android and Chrome operating systems.

Alphabet Inc will be the collection of companies serving in different areas. This step has been taken to separate the Internet offerings of Google from offering in other areas like robotics, cars and others. Every business area of Google will become an independent company with a strong CEO managing the operations of that business. Managing everything under the same company has now become complex. So, this step was necessary. It will also answer a most common question. The question is: “Why an internet company is building robots and cars?” Now we have the answer that it is not from Google but from Alphabet.

Alphabet will also replace Google as a publicly traded entity in stock market. All Google shares will be converted into the same number of shares of Alphabet Inc. Google will also be there in stock market as a subsidiary of the new company Alphabet.
