Few days back, Instagram pushed new design to Instagram’s web client. Now, it has added search feature on Instagram for web to let users search accounts, hashtags and locations. Search feature is now available to all.
Instagram started with app-only model and later allow embed to drive traffic. It also realized that web can help it better in reaching more potential users. Instagram confirmed that embed photos help it in getting nearly 5.3 billion impressions. Although content creation is only possible through app, but users can now search and see photos on web client.
This new addition will make Instagram web more important where users can see photos in big size. Few reports also confirmed that Instagram is planning to save big size photos. So, web client will surely become more popular.
Messenger and Whatsapp also rolled out web presence. Whatsapp also brought most of the features which were initially only available via mobile app.
