Facebook virtual assistant MoneypennyFacebook is reportedly working on its own virtual assistant “Moneypenny”. It will be available as a part of Facebook Messenger. This virtual assistant will allow users to ask people for help in anything including research or shopping.

Of course this name is just the code name of the project for internal use. Release date is not known yet.

While many people are mentioning it as a competitor of Siri, Cortana or Google Now, I do not find it similar to those. Moneypenny will not send your queries to a computer but to real people. These real people will answer your queries. It is still in development and Facebook can add more features before the release of the product. We hope to get more information before it finally reaches our phone.

Name Moneypenny seems to be taken from Miss Moneypenny who is M’s assistant in the James Bond series of books and movies.
