CyanogenMod is working on open-source browser for Android

CyanogenMod is working on open-source browser for Android

Add Techlomedia as a preferred source on Google. Preferred Source

 Gello from CyanogenMod Popular Android ROM developer CyanogenMod is working on an open-source browser dubbed as Gello. This opensource browser is based on Google’s Chromium project. Joey Rizzoli posted a video of this browser showing how this browser will work on Android device.

This browser comes with various customization options. It will also come with offline reading mode, immersive and night mode. You can also chose to block distracting content. You will be able to select the download location and edit the filename before download. There are few other good features in it.

Gello is opensource and developers can also contribute in this opensource project.

This browser will not be compatible with old less powerful devices and devices with less storage. This browser will also be available in a future version of CyanogenMod’s Android ROM.

There is no information about the launch date. It is still in development and company can add more features before making it publicly available.
