Google ChromeGoogle is now working on making Chrome power efficient for users. It is working with Adobe to sidelining Flash content which are not necessary on the page for your tasks. By doing this, it wants to make your web experience power efficient. This new change will improve the battery life of your laptop.

When you will open a web page, Google will pause all flash contents which are not in the central of the page. You can play the content any time by clicking on it. It will not interrupt central content. So, you can continue with the video you were watching without any issue. If Google Chrome kills something you actually wanted to watch, you can click on it to reactivate playback.

This new change will reduce power consumption by Google Chrome. In this way, it will improve the battery life of your laptop.

This feature is now enabled in Chrome Beta for desktop. And soon, it will be available in all latest version of Chrome by default. If you want to enable it manually in your current browser, you can go to Settings -> Content settings -> Plugins. here select the second option saying “Detect and run important plugin content.”

Chrome stops Flash to improve battery

In coming days, it will be available to all desktop users. Google also confirmed that it will add more power efficient features in Google Chrome in coming days.
