Google has just announced that it is rolling out faster web experience to mobile users in India. It will optimize web pages to load faster on slow 2G connection to offer lighter web browsing.

Google does this by removing few CSS styling from the web page. So, you will not see the original style but the same content. Company tested this feature at the end of April in Indonesia.

Google claims that these optimize web pages will load 4 times faster and will save 80% bandwidth of your Internet plan. Google will also give you an option to see the original web page by clicking on the link at the top of the optimize web page.

Android users in India will be able to see the changes over the next couple of weeks.

“With over 200 million Indians accessing the Internet from a smartphone, we’re working hard to make access faster and more affordable. After all, if each of those Indian smartphone users spends just 1 extra second a day waiting for a page to load, that adds up to more than two and a half years of people waiting, every day,” Google said in the blog post explaining why this change is important.
