Google has announced a new feature in Google Chrome for Android to make it easier to search for a word or phrase. You can search for any word or phrase with one tap and get instant results over the web page.

The whole new process works simpler than you think. You only need to tap on the word and Google will show you the results over the page. You can scroll the results to find more. Once you are done, you can quickly dismiss the results to continue access the web page you were in. To give you better results, Chrome will predict if you were searching for a word or phrase. For example: searching for America will show you results for Captain America.

Android quick results

This new feature will come to Google Chrome for Android in next few days. Google also confirmed that it will also add Asian language support later. There is no word on this feature for iOS.

In Desktop, you can quickly search for a word on web page by selecting the word and then right click to use option “Search Google for.” For mobile devices, this feature comes in better way to quickly find results.
