In Japan, Sony has just announced world’s first LED light bulb with built-in bluetooth speaker. This bulb looks like an ordinary LED light bulb and you will never realize that there could be a speaker in it.
This bulb has a screw ring at the back side which lets you fit it into a screw bulb holder. The bulb offers maximum luminosity of 360 lumens. At front, it has full range speakers or 2W. Sony has also launched a mobile app to control the bulb’s luminosity. This app can also be used to control the sound of the bulb’s built-in speakers.
Sony will also offer a remote that can be paired with bulb using NFC.
This LED light bulb with speaker will be released in Japan for Yen 23, 880 (around $199 USD) on May 23rd.
Product seems good and worth try, but pricing is quite high. Most of the people will never wish to invest this much of amount in a LED bulb with speaker.
