Google Maps Transit Adds Indian Railways SchedulesGoogle keeps on updating Google maps to make it better for our daily life usage. Google has now updated Google Maps transit and added train schedules for more than 12000 trains. This is now available via Google Maps for web, Android and iOS devices.

Along with addition of train schedules, Google has also updated details for bus and metro routes in few selected cities including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune.

If you are planning to go somewhere, just open Google maps and type the destination. Google will smartly suggest you what public transport you should use to reach the destination as early as possible.

“Google Transit is part of our effort to make Google Maps more comprehensive, accurate and useful for millions of people around the world who take buses, trains, metros or trams to their next destination,” Google Maps director, program management, Suren Ruhela said.

If you are not aware of Google Transit, you must know that the feature is very useful when you are at a new city. It lets you know the public transports available between the two places and also suggest you the best one that takes less time to reach destination. You will never be lost in that unknown city. If you have never used this feature, start using it now. With addition of railway schedule, it is now very useful for long distance journey.
