Yuphoria

Micromax backed Yu has confirmed that next Yureka smartphone will be called as Yu Yuphoria. Company has chosen the name of its smartphone in a crowd-sourced campaign. This smartphone was initially code-names as Project Caesar.

For selecting the name for its next smartphone, company introduced the #YUNameIt campaign on March 31. After this participants were allowed to submit their entries till April 3. Top 5 names were Yuphoria, Yuknight, Yunicorn, Yunity, and Youth. At the end, Yuphoria was decided based on final voting.

Company didn’t confirmed the specifications of the device. But still we can guess few features. New Yu Yuphoria will come with Android 5.0 based Cyanogen 12. It will be powered by 64-bit processor, 2 GB RAM and display larger than 5 inch.

“The forthcoming Cyanogen powered device has already generated a lot of fanfare across social media platforms which resonated in the tremendous response received for #YUNameIt with more than 1,00,000 entries,” wrote Yu Televentures in a forum post.

We can expect to get more details soon because the launch of the smartphone is near. Stay tuned for latest updates.
