Today, Amazon India announced that it will now be delivering goods on Sunday across 100 cities in India. Company will only offer Sunday delivery on residential addresses. It is also worth to mention that this is applicable only for goods sold by Amazon (FBA).
There is also an important thing to note that you have to mark your addresses as ‘Home’ in the Address Type field. This Sunday delivery service is also available with all types of delivery, including Same-Day, and Two-Day. So, users who live alone can now order items on Saturday and get it delivered on Sunday with One-Day Delivery option. Users who order by regular delivery can also now count Sunday as working day.
“Providing our customers with a fast, reliable, anytime and anywhere delivery experience is one of our key pillars to ensure customer delight. Our innovations in delivery, be it One Day, Two Day, Same Day, Release Day, or Midnight Delivery, stand proof of our commitment to continuous work backwards from customer needs and innovate on their behalf. With our Sunday Delivery promise, customers across 100 cities now have the benefit of getting uninterrupted deliveries of their orders through the week,” says Samuel Thomas, Director Transportation & Logistics, Amazon India.
“We are very proud to be the first ones in India to offer Sunday Delivery at this scale. This capability now allows us to make faster and more accurate promises to customers,” he added.
As of now, the service is only available in 100 cities. But company also promised to expand it in more cities in coming days.
