Samsung has announced its new smartphone Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3 rugged smartphone. Samsung is expected to showcase this smartphone at the CeBIT trade show in Germany. This smartphone is water resistant to a depth of one meter for up to 30 minutes with IP67 certification. It is also dust proof and surprisingly meets the US Military Standard MIL-STD 810G to withstand a fall of up to 1.2 meters.

Samsung Galaxy Xcover 3 features a 4.5 inch PLS TFT display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core processor with 1.5 GB RAM. It has 8 GB internal storage with microSD card slot to expand storage up to 64 GB. It runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat but is upgradable to Lollipop. It features a 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. It comes with a dedicated Xcover Key to enable LED flash or launch camera.

It offers 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and NFC connectivity. It is packed with 2200 mAh battery.
