Cortana coming for iOS and Android

Cortana is also the part of Microsoft’s cross platform strategy. Soon, Microsoft’s personal digital assistant will also be available for Android and iOS devices.

As of now, Cortana is only available for Widows Phone devices and soon it will be available for Windows 10 desktop. After that, it will make its way to come for Android and iOS devices.

Microsoft is also working on the advanced version of Cortana making it better. Company is also incorporating research from an artificial intelligence project called Einstein. Cortana will compete with Siri and Google Now. It will be very hard for Microsoft to get success on other platforms where rivals are already present. It will depend on the capability of the Cortana how it beats other rivals.

Since new CEO Satya Nadella took the lead, he has been trying to make Microsoft services available on other platforms rather than forcing users to use Windows. Success on other platforms could create new doors for the company and could bring new users.

Microsoft believes that its Speech Recognition technology, search and Machine learning will offer something better than Siri or Google Now. But we cannot confirm how the advance version of Cortana will perform in real time. Let us wait for the official launch.

At this moment, we have no info about launch time frame. So, we cannot say anything. Microsoft has not confirmed this news yet.
