Instagram has announced a new photo collage app called Layout for iOS devices. This app lets Instagram users create a single collage photo from phone’s photos and then share it on Instagram, Facebook and other social networking websites. But for sharing it on Twitter, you must share it on Instagram first.
When you open the app, you will see various layouts to choose from. You can also select photos from your mobile to include into the collage. You can also drag and drop to arrange photos, rotate and flip photos in the collage. You can also adjust images inside the layout with the pinch or zoom. But there are no photo filters. If you want to use photo filters, you will have to save photo to Instagram and the use Instagram filters.
It also has a feature called Photo Booth which lets you use Layout app to capture more spontaneous moments. When you tap the button, it will start a timer and then capture a series of photos which will then appear in the collage.
Around 90% collage photos feature people. So, Layout lets you easily find photos with people. You will find an option faces at the bottom. Tapping on this will open only those photos of your device which feature people. This option lets you quickly find relevant photos which you want to add in the collage.
Unlike other popular collage apps, Layout app is free and you do not need to have Instagram account to use this. It is easy to use, fast and interesting.
Layout app is now available for iOS users. It requires iOS 7 or higher. Android version of the app will be available in coming months.
