Facebook Phone app

Facebook is reportedly working on a dialer and caller id app for Android devices. This app is called “Phone” and company confirmed the existence of the app. This app also features call blocking. It will compete with “TrueCaller” caller id app and Google’s Dialer apps.

Facebook accidentally sent out invites asking users to try this app “Phone”. When users tried to install and use this app, it returned “Page not found” error. The update also shows the [FB-ONLY] tag in the name of the app. It confirms that app was only for Facebook intranet users for testing purpose but someone mistakenly pushed the invites to users.

There is no word when the app will be launched. We will update once we have official confirmation from Facebook.
