BlackBerry has announced a new mid-range smartphone BlackBerry Leap at  MWC 2015. This smartphone is priced at $275 only. It will be launched in April in US and targets young professionals. Company didn’t confirm when it will launch this smartphone in other markets.

This is a single SIM device and features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) Touch display with 294ppi pixel density. It runs on native BlackBerry 10.3.1 OS. It can run Android apps and offers BlackBerry Assistant. It is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM 8960 SoC with 2GB of RAM. It has 16 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card slot. It features a 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. Connectivity features of the smartphone are 4G, Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE) and EDR, GPS/ A-GPS. It is packed with 2800 mAh battery.
