Panasonic has silently launched the successor of the Panasonic Eluga U, the Panasonic Eluga U2, in Taiwan at TWD 7990. But there is no information about global rollout. This smartphone is now available via Yahoo online store Taiwan.

Unlike Panasonic Eluga U, Panasonic Eluga U2 is a dual SIM device. This is the first smartphone from the company running on Android 5.0 Lollipop. It features a 5 inch full-HD (720×1280 pixels) IPS display. It is powered by a 64-bit 1.2GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with 2 GB RAM. It features a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. It also comes with 16 GB internal storage which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card.

Connectivity features of the smartphone are 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS/ A-GPS. It is packed with 2500 mAH battery.
