Microsoft to launch Windows 10 powered flagship smartphone in May

After introducing its next version of Windows OS and browser, Microsoft is back in spotlight for past few days. New Windows 10 has been designed to run on both desktop and mobile devices. Windows 10 Technical Preview version for desktop has already been rolled out. But it is pending for Windows Phone. It is expected to come for Windows Phone in late February.

In the meantime, Chinese website WPDang claimed that smartphone with Windows 10 may come as early as May this year. Microsoft is expected to unveil the flagship smartphone with Windows 10 at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Microsoft will announce a high end and an entry-level smartphone with PureView Camera.

At this moment, we do not have much information about specifications of the smartphone. But WPDang suggest that high-end device could be the Lumia 1330, successor of Lumia 1320. And the entry level smartphone could be the cheaper version of Lumia 830.

Acer is also expected to release low-cost Windows devices in the same MWC event. This smartphone will also be integrated with Acer’s own Cloud Platform BYOC (Brind Your Own Cloud).

Samsung is also expected to launch its next Flagship device Samsung Galaxy S6 in the same event. Features of the next Samsung flagship device have been leaked. But we cannot confirm anything at this moment.
