Now you can book train tickets online and pay cash on home delivery of tickets. Yes, cash on delivery system for rail ticketing is now available for customers who are still afraid of making online payment or do not have internet banking facility.

IRCTC

Just book your ticker online and make payment at the time of ticket delivery at your home. This service is now available for more than 200 cities initially as a pilot project. If it becomes successful, it will also be expanded to more cities.. Customers can book a ticket five days before the journey day.

It is worth to mention that Rs. 40 will be charged for delivery of sleeper class ticket and Rs. 60 for AC class ticket.

Cash on delivery is the most adopted mod of payment in India. Users feel safe when they select this mode of payment. This is the reason IRCTC has decided to introduce cash on delivery for train tickets.  This scheme is powered by the Anduril Technologies which will allow users book tickers from app bookmytrain.com and deliver tickets at home.

This another smart move by IRCTC to make their service better and keep people away from booking windows.
