Google’s popular instant messaging software Gtalk is now at end of of its life. Google has decided to kill this software and wants users to use its Hangouts. Gtalk will no longer be available after February 16.
Google wants users to use its Hangouts. But there are so many users who are still using Gtalk and do not want to switch to Hangouts. So, this is the only thing Google can do to force those users to use Hangouts. Hangouts app is available for Chrome browser. You can also access it from your Gmail and Google+ account.
Google has already replaced Gtalk in Android with Hangouts. So, users already know how to use Hangouts. But Gtalk was still a nice way to chat from desktop without opening browser. Now, you will have to open your browser to start chatting with friends.
Google Hangouts not only lets you text chat also offers good quality video calling service. So, you can talk to your friends. Hangouts video calls also offers bandwidth limit to control the data consumption if you are on slow connection.
