YouTube has finally confirmed YouTube Kids. We already reported the launch few days back. YouTube Kids has been developed for showing kids friendly content.
Company said that it has been working with parents to make a kids friendly version of its products. And company has started this with YouTube.
YouTube kids only offers content which is suitable for whole family. The app gives a safer and easier place for children to find videos on topics they want to explorer.
The app comes with several parental control features. These are:
- Timer to let you limit your kids’ screen time. App alerts when the time is over.
- Sound settings to turn off music and sound effects to keep environment quieter
- The ability to turn off search to limit videos to just those on the home screen
- Feedback section to allow parents to provide their feedbacks about the the app and its content
YouTube kids is available for Android and iOS in United States. Initially it was rumoured to be only Android specific app.
