adult content warning blogger

Google is now restricting its blogger platform and will not allow users to publish adult content. Starting today, no blogger user will be able to share adult images of videos via the blogger platform.

“Starting March 23, 2015, users won’t be able to publicly share images and video that are sexually explicit or show graphic nudity on Blogger,” said Google in support page.

If you have existing blog with adult content, your blog will become private. Private blogs will only be available to the admin and persons with the whom the blog was shared.

Google still allows nudity but in different form. A note on the page reads, “We’ll still allow nudity if the content offers a substantial public benefit, for example in artistic, educational, documentary, or scientific contexts.”

Google confirms that no site will be deleted. If you own a blog with adult content, you can download the data of your blog by using Google Takeout service. You will get the xml backup of your blog.
