Facebook owned popular social messaging app WhatsApp has achieved another big milestone. It confirmed to have 700 million monthly active users. It added around 100 million users in just 4 months. It announced to have 600 million users back in August 2014. This numbers has also increased by 250 million more users since February 2014 when it was acquired by Facebook for $19 billion.

Users on WhatsApp also sending more than 30 billion messages per day.

“Today, we’re thrilled to share that WhatsApp has more than 700 million monthly active users. Additionally, every day our users now send over 30 billion messages,” Jan Koum posted on Facebook.

Although, WhatsApp is too big, it does not have any plans to monetize its user base. In past, Mark Zuckerberg said that he will not try to monetize the app until it reaches to 1 billion users. It seems this milestone will be achieved by next year.

It is worth to mention that Facebook owns four biggest products which had more than 300 million users. These are Facebook, Whatsapp, Messenger and Instagram.
