To help railway passengers, RailYatri.in has added a fog alert feature in its mobile app. This feature can predict the delay in train due to fog in winters. So, you can plan and book your tickets after ensuring that the selected train will not be much affected by fog.
“We launched this feature to help train travelers manage their journey better. Every day, during the fog season in north India, about 60-80 trains get delayed. Passengers are stranded on railway stations for hours at the end,” Manish Rathi, co-founder and chief executive officer, RailYatri.in said in a statement in New Delhi on Friday.
In winters, most of the long distance trains see delay of more than 15 hours. Passengers always want to avoid these trains. But they cannot predict the future. Major worry of travelers during winters is getting stuck in the middle of their journey. In this case, you can know your location by using the GPS of your smartphone. So, this app will surely be helpful for them.
“RailYatri GPS Locator tells the travelers their exact location, along with the estimated time of arrival at upcoming stations. With the GPS Locator, you won’t feel lost on a train,” Manish Rathi added.
