Kodak has announced its first Android smartphone Kodal IM5 built by Bullitt Group at CES 2015. This is a mid-range smartphone and comes with good hardware specifications.
Kodak IM5 is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-Core processor and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. It will also get Lollipop update later this year. It has a 5 inch HD display. It is packed with 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage and microSD card slot to expand storage up to 32 GB.
It comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front camera. It has unique image management software which lets you quickly edit photos and share on social media. You can also take instant print pf photos by using customized app compatible with home printers.
It also comes with a app store calls “Apps” which offers quick access to hand picked apps. You can also access to Google Play store to download more apps.
Adds Eileen Murphy, VP Brand Licensing at Kodak: “Too many memories stay stuck on mobile phones, often because the process for sharing them is too complicated for users; that’s why we’ve partnered on the IM5, the first device in a range of mobile products that takes our heritage and experience in photographic technology and combines it with Bullitt’s expertise in designing high-quality devices for a specific target consumer.”
Says Oliver Schulte, CEO of Bullitt Mobile: “This is a phone for consumers who appreciate the value and heritage of the Kodak brand. It looks great, is easy to use and offers real value for money.”
Kodak IM5 will be available globally, starting from Europe by the end of Q1 2015. It is priced at US$ 249.
