Asus India introduced a variant of Zenfone 5 smartphone dubbed as Zenfone 5 A501 for Indian market. This smartphone is priced at only Rs. 7,999. As a special launch offer, Asus is also offering 10% off with HDFC debit & credit cards.
This new variant carries the same model number on Flipkart but hardware specifications are slightly different. It is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor instead of 1.6GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor. Other specifications are exactly similar to the original smartphone.
It has a 5 inch HD display, 2 GB RAM, 8 megapixel autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2 megapixel front camera. Connectivity features are also same including 3G, Wifi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth v4 and USB. It is packed with 2110 mAh battery which offer 18 hours of talk time and 353 hours of stand by time.
