APPLE'S NEW PATENT

PatentYogi uncovered an interesting patent obtained by Apple. As per the details, this patent is for automatically adding effects to photos based on background audio, motion and location. So, there is no need to add effects each time when you click a photo.

Apple was granted this patent “United States Patent – 8,933,960 Image alteration techniques” this month on 13 January 2015. The patent document explains the filters. Users does not need to select effects each time they want to apply one. This will automatically apply the effect. PatentYogi has also tried to explain this in a video.

See the demo video. Video explains few effects on the patent which will be applied automatically.

There is no guarantee that Apple will implement this patent in its camera app. But Apple added live filters in iOS 7, so we can expect this new patent to be added in next iOS version. But Apple has history of granting patents which comes for nothing.
