ZTE has launched another smartphone ZTE Grand S II in India. This smartphone will be exclusively available via Amazon for Rs. 13,999 only. Starting today, it will be available to purchase. This smartphone was announced back in CES 2014, but for India, few specifications have been changed.
ZTE Grand S II features a 5.5 inch full HD display. It is powered by a 2.2 Ghz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 (MSM8674) processor with 2GB of RAM. Surprisingly it runs on outdated Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with Mi Favor UI on top of it. When Indian market is full of budget smartphones running on Android 4.4, it makes no sense in launching a high end device with older version of OS. It feature a 13 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5 megapixel front camera. Internal storage of the samrtphone is 16 GB which is expandable up to 32 GB. It is packed with 2500 mAh battery.
Conectivity features of the smartphone are 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4, a-GPS, NFC and micro USB. It also supports both the LTE bands (1800MHz and 2300MHz) in India.

Features of the smartphone are nice but outdated OS is disappointing. At this price range, Moto G 2nd Gen, Xiaomi Mi3 (apparently discontinued) and canvas Nitro are popular. ZTE will have to work hard to get customers for this smartphone.
