Year 2015 is going to be revolutionary for Internet users in India. As per few reports, Google’s fast internet connection Google Fiber will be introduced in India next year. Google is in talks with IT Ministry to launch its fiber-based broadband service in India.

Google Fiber is Google’s broadband service which offers 1 GBPS speed. When Indian users are still struglling in getting 4MPBS connection even after claims, this is going to be revolutionary in India. In India where download and upload speeds are very frustrating, this will be a magic for users in India. You cannot even imagine how fast it is going to be.

Google will start it as a small project in a small area to showcase this to goernment. According to officials in IT Ministry, Google has approached. But they are still in confusion whether to allow Google to do proect without acquiring a telecom licence.

Google launched its Google Fiber program in US back in February 2014. It was initially introduced in Kanas City. Now this is ready to expand in more cities soon.

The only problem can be the licenses. India India, ISP has to grab the licenses which are auctioneed. So, the price may go up to thousands of crores. But Government is planning to engage Google without licenses. So, Google may tie up with BSNL to start this service.

At this time, we do not have much info. But we can hope for the best. This new government promised for Digital India and yes, we are going to get it.
