Twitter is now focusing in making its Direct Messages feature better to compete other messaging apps. Earlier this week, it started supporting links via direct messages. It now lets users share public tweets to Direct Message with friends.
This option is now availale for web, iOS and Android. On the web, Chrome and Windows (with Tweetdeck for Mac coming soon)., you will have to click on ••• More icon below the tweet and select “Share Via Direct Message”.
On Android or iOS, long press on the Tweet and you will see the option of “Share via Direct Message.”
Many Twitter users use DMs to communicate personally with friends and followers. Making this better likke Facebook Messenger or WhatsApp will surely add some user base to Twitter. We can also see some more feature like group messaging in coming future.
