Microsoft has just introduced a new feature “Office 365 Videos” in its Office 365 productivity suite. Microsoft calls it the “NextGen Portals” for Office 365 with various new features.

Office 365 Video allows users to create video clips via web interface of mobile devices. Once the video is uploaded, add the title and description and wait for the generated playback file. You can use drag and drop to upload file. It supports various video formats. This video will be discoverable via search. Videos can also be shared with friends. Video can be played on desktop and mobile devices as well. It leverages the Office Graph to deliver personalized and relevant information to users.

Every video player page lets you share directly into Yammer via inline conversations. The video in the video portal can be accessed from the main Yammer interface and Yammer apps.

Initially It will be available for Office 365 First Release customers. Other users will have to wait for the next year to get Office 365 Video.
