Lava has launched another budget smartphone Lava Iris 500 in its Iris series. This smartphone is now listed on official website for Rs. 5,499. But there is no official announcement about the launch of the smartphone.

As per the listing on the official website, Lava Iris 500 features a 5 inch FVGA display with 480 x 854 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.3 Ghz dual core processor and runs on Android 4.4 Kitkat. It is packed with 512 MB RAM, 4 GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 5 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and VGA front camera. Camera features include HDR, burst mode, panorama, scene detection, and face recognition.

Connectivity features of the smartphone include GPRS< Wi-FI, microUSB and Bluetooth. It lacks EDGE and 3G connectivity. It is packed with 1800 mAh battery.
