Today, Google has announced a new tool Contributor for Google Adsense publisher. This is a crowdfunding service which lets users pay website they like to visit and hide ads from website.

When a visitor visits the contributor website, they will see the participants to which they can choose to donates. In start, Google will launch with only few selected partners including WikiHow, Imgur, Mashable, and The Onion.. Once can select from $1-3 as a monthly subscription amount to support the website. After your contribution, you will see a pixel pattern in place of ads along with a thank you message.

Users can use Adblock or similar kind of browser extension. But there are few people who will surely like to contribute small amount for websites they regularly visit.

If you are publisher, you can request invite to join this program by sending email to Google team. You can also join the wait list.
