Facebook has released standalone Groups app to get better experience of Facebook groups on mobile devices. This app aims to offer control over notification, easy access to groups and better discovery of Groups on Facebook. Good thing is that you will not be forced to use this app. Group feature will still be available within Facebook app.

Facebook Group app

Facebook Groups app is available for iOS and Android. With this app, you can quickly create group or join existing groups. You can also discover new groups by using discover tab. It will give you suggestions based on the groups and pages you have already join and place you live.

Once you sign-in this app with your Facebook account, all your existing groups will be there in two-wide in circular visuals. Ordering of groups will be based on how often you use each group. tap into any will show you grup feed. In this app, you can easily mute notification of group for specified amount of time.

Around 700 million people interact in Facebook groups every month. So, creating this separate app to offer better group experience will be helpful for lot more users.
