Narendra Modi’s government is working much better than your expectation. It is not just promising, it is also delivering things within the promised time frame. Government promised “Digital India” program and under the same program, it has made the government employee live biometric attendance system (BAS) online. This attendance system is open to public and anyone can see the attendance of any Government employee.
Currently it has been implemented in the central Government offices located in Delhi and slowly it will be expanded to all central Government offices across the country. In the first phase, Government has installed 1000 bio-metric attendance machines, 5000 fingerprint scanners and 200 IRIS devices. Employee has to be present by himself to be marked as present into the system. Employee will be registered through Aadhaar card and then they will be given a unique 6 digits identification number. At the time of writing this article, there were 148 registered organizations and 49291 registered employees (32722 verified). This portal shows data in real-time.
This portal is completely open for general public. So you can check the registered organization, employees, their attendance and active biometric devices. You can search for any employee by organization and name to see his attendance. In details section of the employee, you can also see the details of the employee and his email address. Anyone can also download the entire the attendance data in excel documents and view it offline.
