After Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon, now Google wants to cash this Diwali season with its new Grand Diwali Mela. For this, Google has joined hands with GroupM to launch online platform “Grand Diwali Mela” at GrandDiwaliMela.com.

Google Grand Diwali Mela

This online shopping event is powered by Amazon and will run till Diwali. As per the website, this website went live on 2nd October. Surprising thing is that it was not properly advertised. Economics times reported this event on September 25 but it didn’t get much hype among online consumers. Today, Google India Tweeted the link and offer which attracted media and consumer attention.

When you look closely, it seems to be only a lead generation platform for participating brands like Lakme, OLX, Ponds, Line, Fiat and many others. It offers broad range of products including consumer products, electronics, real estate, automobiles and home appliances. Visitors also have an option to buy products from Amazon, Snapdeal or other retailers for discounted prices.

Website also mentions that it is offering few products across various categories at 1 Rs. each.
