FacebookFacebook has taken another step for security of social network. Now Facebook is available via the Tor network for users who want to do anonymous browsing on web. Facebook is accessible on onion address https://facebookcorewwwi.onion and is accessible only in Tor enabled browsers. Visiting this link will connect users to Facebook’s core website and offers end-to-end communication.

This onion address for Facebook is now live and Tor users can start using Facebook via this address.

“Facebook’s onion address provides a way to access Facebook through Tor without losing the cryptographic protections provided by the Tor cloud,” Facebook confirmed.

For those who do not know about Tor, Tor is a free software which lets users become browse the web anonymously. So, users location and other activities will not be discovered by corporations or government agencies. Users who does not want to be tracked use Tor to browse the web.

Last year in August, Facebook also enabled all users to secure HTTPS by default.
