Now the Question arises for the users that how will you be able to open the Google maps in Hindi on their desktop and Android devices? For that Desktop users need to select the language preference to Hindi on their Google account settings or else by selecting the Hindi option at the bottom of Google.co.in and for the Android device users will have to select Hindi option in within the ‘Language and input’ menu.

Google India wrote in his blog post, “Next time you’re in Jaipur and looking to find your way to the Amer Fort or the City Palace Google Maps can lend a little help. Starting today, we’re launching Google Maps in Hindi, in the hope that we can provide more useful and comprehensive maps for Hindi-speakers in India.”

Google India has confirmed that they are using translation for showing the names in Hindi. So there is a possibility that you will not found the right word sometimes. They also said that they are working on bringing the language option in voice-navigation but it will take sometime.
