As a result of partnership with Microsoft, Xolo has announced its first Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone in India. This new smartphone is dubbed as Xolo Win Q900s. It weighs only 100 gms and Xolo Claims that it is the lightest Windows Phone smartphone available. It is already available for pre-order via Snapdeal for Rs. 9,999 only. If you are interested in buying this phone, you need to be quick because only 500 units are available in first lot.
Xolo Win Q900s features a 4.7 inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Screen comes with Scratch Resistant Dragon Trail Glass protection. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 400 MHz Adreno 302 GPU. It runs on Windows Phone 8.1 OS.
It features a 8 megapixel rear camera with PureCel Sensor and LED flash. It also has a 2 megapixel front camera. It is packed 1 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, microSD card slot, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It has 1800 mAh battery which claims to give up to 263 hours of standby time on 2G and 246 hours of standby time on 3G. Music Playback is up to 20.5 Hours.

It will compete with Micromax Canvas Win W121 which was launched few days back. It comes with similar features but price of Xolo Win Q900s is higher than the price of Canvas Win W121. If we compare it with Lumia series smartphone, you will not get these features in any Lumia smartphones available. At this price you can only get Lumia 525 and Lumia 630. But on papers, both Lumia snartphones have low hardware specifications.
With the increasing low cost Windows Phone smartphones, Microsoft is aiming to get better Windows Phone market share in coming quarter.
